The hypothetical scenario of this Joint Crisis Committee revolves around the ten-year-long Trojan War and the problems associated with the struggle of the Achaean alliance and the beleaguered Troy for the dominance over the strategically important Hellespont passage, as the war being caused by the abscondment of Helen, wife of the Spartan king, to Paris, son of
the Trojan king.
The representatives of either the high command, royalty, or the important city-states will be faced with many obstacles, including lack of treasury funds, plague outbreaks and the intervention of the gods from the Olympus pantheon, who
can turn the tide of battle immediately. On top of the challenges posed by the external crises, the representatives will have to
deal with the discontent and unwillingness of their peoples, achieving the right balance between aggressive speeches and
secret diplomacy.
In the end, the task of the committee is to bring the geopolitical situation in the Aegean region to a point of reaching the decisive moment of the war – whether it is the military breakthrough, Trojan Horse, or diplomatic negotiations.
